As a kitten, Pico was gentle and tender. She was playful but was always careful not to extend claws to hurt people.
Even as she gets older, Pico maintains her sweet and calm nature, often doing things at her own pace. She enjoys
taking the time to smell the flowers, or to watch people and cars go by. She would much rather sit in your vicinity than
crawl onto your lap. Pico likes to have a good view of the entire room, but she still like being petted.
Favourite:
Toy - Crinkle ball and Catnip
Pasttime - Napping
Odd habit - Chasing her tail in the bathtub
Flavour - Anything fishy
Pico is a very smart and well-mannered cat. On command, she can sit, give paw and lay down for a treat. She knows not
to jump on counters and tables, and to scratch only on the scratching post. Pico often sits very lady-like, with two paws together
and greets Mom and Dad with a very polite "Mew". One of her distinguishing marks, is a shape of a black heart on
her chest, which can be seen when she sits nicely.

Though she is spayed and has no kittens of her own, Pico has always been a very maternal cat. I brought home a pair of
newly hatched chickens from the daycare I was working at. I was hesitant to introduce them, but with my hand gently on her scruff,
Pico became very curious about these strange little creatures her Mommy was caring for. I would watch carefully as she peeked
into the boxes and then turn to me with a small "Mrow?"
Pico fell in love with the chicks as they began to follow her around the room as she walked away. She would gentle sniff them and
offer tiny licks. At night, when the chicks chripped, Pico would paw at me to get my attention. She thought maybe the baby
chickens needed something. After I returned them, she was depressed for a few days.

When it comes to people, Pico is not a lap cat at all. Though she is cool with being approach by people to pet her, she does not
come when called and she does not return affection more meaningful than purring. It takes a while to gain her trust, including
with David and myself. Pico only sits on Mommy or Daddy's lap, but she only likes sleeping with Mommy and squeezing onto Mommy's chair.
Sometimes she lets Daddy pick her up, but she only let's Mommy sleep on her tummy and share her pillow. Pico is very particular about
who and where she sits near.

Pico has peculiar dislikes and fears. She does not like bubbles or balloons of any kind, they float funny and make squeaky noises. She
enjoys sitting on the porch outdoors and feeling the breeze, but she does not like loud birds (she is okay with the next door neighbours'
loud barking dog though). Pico hates how loud the vacuum cleaner is, and she does not enjoy thudding sounds or people that walk heavy.
She gets anxiety when it comes to closed doors because she likes to feel that she has access to everything ESPECIALLY when everyone else
is in the other room. She hates water and baths like any other feline. She doesn't like the smell of carnations but likes roses and
especially lilacs.
